By car
From Lidköping it is signposted towards Läckö Castle.
Efter en brand på 1470-talet så utvidgades borgen.
Efter reformationen upphörde förlorade borgen sin status som biskopsborg och Gustav Vasa tog över, som också sägs ha besökt slottet vid ett par tillfällen. Här finns även naturum Vänerskärgården – Victoriahuset med en restaurang och hotell.
År 2001 blev Läckö valt till Sveriges vackraste slott och 2013 vann slottet Stora Turismpriset.
Lite kuriosa
Som kuriosa kan nämnas att Läckö under drygt 150 år också hette Sikajocki.

As you approach Läckö Castle, follow the road until you reach our visitor car park.

Prices and opening hours at the castle
Läckö Castle has varying opening hours and prices depending on the season.
During spring, autumn and winter, opening hours vary. Efter att fältherren Jacob Pontusson De la Gardie fick det i förläning år 1615 återtog det sin betydelse. 1810 blev slottet åter förläning som nationalbelöning åt Carl Johan Adlercreutz, med namnet Sikajocki, ett namn som aldrig slog igenom, men som fanns med i fastighetsbeteckningen fram till 1970 av Lantmäteriverket.
